We here in Georgia are in a drought. A “No Watering ” ban is in effect. There are other places in the world with water shortages. This video, A World Without Water is an eye opener! It should be required viewing in our education system. Boycotting me, didn’t go to the new Coca Cola museum last week with Rich and the kids because I refuse to financially support coke in any way. And yes by buying a ticket to the Coke museum you are supporting the Coca Cola corporation. My motive for not going then was because I abhor the advertising and brainwashing Coke purports. America’s young people are lured into drinking soft drinks like they should be drinking water. And the Corporation is getting rich and our youth are getting obese! I never realized just how much of a threat to humanity the makers of Coca Cola were.
On a lighter note…UUUMmmm….I talked to my baby tonight! He was drawing a picture of Spiderman.

“Each day try to do something for which you can NOT possibly be rewarded for.” as heard on Unitarian Church of Dublin podcast.
I’m listening to a podcast from the Universalist Unitarian Church of Dublin. This has become a favorite and uplifting, intellectual sermon.
Religion is not a subject I enjoy conversing about with others…I believe each person is entitled to believe however they choose. And usually others become very passionate and sometimes narrow minded about their own beliefs. Sometimes they may try and convince you to their way of thinking. Learning about all religions, both organized and “new age” is a path to understanding and acceptance of differences in others. There was a good post on my friend Brad’s blog about a book he was reading and a passage contained therein that resonated with me.
“Habit is a great deadener” Samuel Beckett (1906-1989).

It has rained a little…we have been in an extreme drought this spring/summer so it is very much needed.
It is Friday and we all will be going to the Mexican restaurant…Richie and the kiddies. I think they are enjoying being with their Dad…I know they are! So life is good…everything is happening like it should…and we are blessed.
Check out this blog for some great ideas for “re-using” materials and turning them into useful items….you will need to use bablefish to translate unless you know Spanish! It is well worth the visit to check out what people in other countries are doing too.
This weekend (hopefully) I need to get my links column cleaned up. Some people have moved and some people have quit updating.
I stopped at Starbucks on the way home and had a white mocha coffee…did you know just how many calories were in a Starbucks coffee? I did and still had one…yes, I know the dairy…sometimes I have to slip. I’m not perfect or a perfectionist…thank God.

This is only 5 minutes from the house!
And I only learned of it Saturday….You could have something like this near your home. Never would I have known if I didn’t step outside my door and ask my neighbor what he was doing. (Long story short, he was mowing our lawn…he just got a new rider. The neighbor on his other side is still in the hospital after an aneurysm…so he was mowing their lawn and thought why not do ours too. He is my brother-in-law also! Such a thoughtful gesture…we all got to talking and he asked if I knew about this waterfall. Well, of course not…so he drove us there…and hence the peaceful photo and great memory) Thank you Glenn!
Some great news, some of my recycled jewelry pieces are going to be published in an upcoming book titled “1000 Jewelry Details!” by Sandra Salamony (Quarry books). I am SSSSSOOOOOO excited!….When it comes out I will let you all know…trust me! haha…
Just had a banana, apple, almond butter and rice milk smoothie…a pre dinner thing. If I don’t eat something between meals I get MEAN! Then Richie is going to make a big salad with romaine lettuce, (I will pick some garden lettuces to add), spinach, carrot, cucumber, tomato and green pepper. The dressing is a great ginger (store bought…low in sugar and additives) that tastes just like the dressing you get at the Sushi place.
The only no-no food wise today was a large waffle fry from Chick Fil A. Yeikes!…
Getting back on track…it is so hard to eat healthy, vegan and whole foods…hard yes, but with determination….I will just keep getting back on track until one day it will just be habit. No giving up here!
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “press on” has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race”
Calvin Coolidge quotes (American 30th President of the United States, 1872-1933)

Well here It is the start of another working week. Not much time to write.
We had a great and productive day yesterday. The kids will be here on Wednesday night for 2 weeks so we had to get their rooms ready for them and their bathroom. So, lots of cleaning and rearranging went on.
I made a wonderful homemade pizza, let the dough rise outside covered in the sun and used fresh herbs (chives, parsley, oregano and basil) from the garden!…It makes all the difference…On mine I used only olives (both black and green), onions (Vidalia), green peppers and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. (I know the cheese gives me trouble…but just a sprinkling is manageable.
We had a little rain yesterday thank God…and this morning I picked about 12 ripe blueberries for my smoothie…put in some parsley, green apple, banana and almond butter with some rice milk. And now working on a second cup of tea. Then get ready for my day.
So blessings to you and I’ll catch ya later, Dude!….haha
