We got 3 Nellie R. Stevens Holly’s and 3 blue crop blueberry plants last night. So today will be spent digging up strawberries, getting two loads of dirt, mixing dirt and compost….maybe putting down railroad ties (if we can find some) and replanting strawberries into better soil. Then planting the hollies next to the fence and the blueberries into their destined place! I am SO excited!….Not about the hard work but the results in the next years to come.

My brother unexpectedly stopped over with his daughter yesterday. I didn’t even know he was in Georgia…he lives in Indiana! So we got to visit a while. I wish I had known so we could have made some plans with him….but as it was we had plans to get these plants.

Our poor kitty Jacques has a bladder or kidney infection or partial blockage…I took him to the Vet on the 8th of March because he was going to the litterbox ALL the time. She gave him some meds and told me to bring him back in 10 days. Of which I failed to do because of no time off work and I thought he was doing better. But last night I caught him peeing in my Night Blooming Cactus and lifted him out while he was peeing and his pee had some rust color to it…blood. So he is not better. I will take him back to the vet Monday…and til then, feed him canned food, I tried some egg (he didn’t like it) and milk which he does like…and some cheese. He needs to go off all the dried cat food.

I am sipping on my first cup of tea for the day, Rich has gone to get a load of dirt…and I am supposed to be digging up strawberries….so I have to get going….I will try and take some pictures during the day. The sun has failed to shine as yet.

Cheers…
Happiness is my state of mind…

It is It is the most beautiful day so I will just post some recent photos and get going outside where the sun awaits!!

This is a painting I am just about finished with.
photo copy, computer keys, gold leaf, acrylic and oil paint, water color paper, canvas board, India ink on Masonite. 14″ x 11″

These are heirloom tomato seedlings after their first night and day in the outdoors.

And this was a dress that was too small for me (imagine that), which I turned into an apron and will be converting the top part into a purse.

Monday, Monday…it went by too quickly. Why can’t I just get by with 4 hours of sleep per night? I guess I could…and feel drained and like a deadweight all the next day!

I received my book today! I am one of the jewelry designers included and feel very fortunate and blessed to be involved with it.

I have so many projects going on and refuse to try and download photos onto THIS computer…but ok, I will try. I tried and it is a no go. On my old Mac all I had to do was plug in my camera to the computer and wa-la…my photos would come up in iphoto.

It may be awhile before I get a new computer. My plan is to get my Jeep paid off first. So that isn’t until November.

Will this blog still be semi-quasi-half-interesting by then?

If I write, they will come…

Good night…zzzzz

I want to stay up all night. The scanner is broken also…bummer.

I finished a cute felt and beaded purse for my stepdaughter for Easter. Photos have been taken however since giving away my Mac…I can’t seem to get the hang of Windows…it’s all so complicated compared to what I am used to. So posting of photos may take awhile. As there is no Iphoto here and I am spoiled.

Still working on the monkey quilt and the top is all finished. Quilting is going on in small doses on Trevor’s graduation quilt because I really don’t like it. Maybe I will just give it to my mom and let here quilt it and have it. And do one for him that I do like.

Have a goodies package I need to send to Hunter.

And I have been writing letters again. I used to write letters all the time in Jr. High School and High School. Because we moved so many times while I was growing up I had friends all over the place…and we used to write letters to each other. So lately Violet (my friend from 6th grade in Hammond Indiana) and I have been writing. Well, she has always written…I was the slacker. It feels so intimate and freeing to write again.

We are trying to NOT watch so much TV. With me, I get depressed when I watch too much. I think I compare myself to the upper class, have a great home, have great clothes, have great cars, have great families, have great boobs and have great jobs people….and it can make you feel like you are not up to pare with them. Which is ridiculous since they are not even real families, it is all make believe! But yet I believe…haha….And all the advertising makes me long for things I really don’t need or REALLY want.

Another thing….I am really trying to get out of my credit card debt and am paying huge amounts each month to pay it down sooner. The jeep will be paid off in November. And with the budget I have in place I will be able to open a savings account and get some much needed health insurance soon. I am trying to limit my excess spending to only necessities. Since I really do have everything I need. Have you heard about this guy?

Oh yeah…the hankies…I have been making handkerchiefs with handmade crocheted lace lately. Once you use one you will never go back to paper tissues.

I plan on reworking clothes to make them more up to date…and sewing more items from scraps from old clothes and scrap material….use what I have. LOTS can be done that way.

Hope all is well with you all…
Cheers!
