I like to make things

Long time no post…well, I gave my much loved e-mac to my eldest son a couple of weeks ago. So I am sharing Rich’s PC. He has one of those keyboards that are supposed to be more comfortable to type with and all I do is make mistakes with it! My reasoning for letting go of my computer was that:

  1. I was spending way too much time on it and wanted to break the habit.
  2. My son’s computer was an old out dated 1998 laptop that was second hand to begin with.
  3. I was ready to start thinking about getting a new laptop and would get one sooner if I didn’t have a computer already.
  4. Rich and I could just share computers anyway. And not take up extra space with my computer.
  5. I love being generous and giving when I know how much the other person will appriceate the item given. (Totallly selfish on my part huh?)

So now since I don’t typing on the keyboard…I may not be posting as often…but I will try.

Last Thursday I fell and injured my knee cap pretty badly. For 3 days I could barley walk on it…it is now brused up and the knee cap is all jello like. I did go see a DR. after it happened because I feared I broke my knee somewhere. They told me before I even saw the Dr. that just for the visit I would be charged $140.00 and if I needed x-rays it would be a few hundred dollars more. Well, after waiting for almost 2 hours before I even got in to see the Dr. I decided that I just couldn’t afford the x-rays….the Dr. said she didn’t think that it was broken but couldn’t tell for sure without x-rays. I told her I didn’t have insurance and really couldn’t afford the x-rays anyways…so she said to see how it feels in one week…Well, it has been about one week and I am almost sure that the knee cap was broken…it feels sharp and like jello. But what the hell can I do? I am one of the working poor…yes, and one of the 50 million American citizens without health insurance.

I have had jobs that offered health insurance and so in the past I have been covered. But what are your options when you have no health insurance except to run up your Visa charge card with medical bills….

Spell check is not working…arrrggg!!!
