Oh my god…this is so funny…all of us carrying our Bibles. Look at the hair!! I think this was an Easter Sunday picture. Those coats!! And white go-go boots…how I remember those!! I think I was nine years old here.
It has been awhile since I have had a couple of days totally to myself. This weekend affords me some time alone…which is much needed. Not to accomplish a list of chores and projects but just to putz around. With spiced French pressed coffee at my side…I am only now planning my day!!
- Walk Mattie
- Go to herb shop
- Search for some turquoise coffee mugs
- Yoga
- Practice sewing headbands
- Go to video store to find “The Corporation” and watch it tonight
- Work on making something beautiful!!
If these things get done…my day will have been productive!!

It seems that either out of lack of energy or laziness I have not been reaching out and doing anything extra lately. And yes, it bothers me. Easy to do, yet not accomplished daily is my morning walk with Mattie. Mornings are NOT my optimum time of day.
Things I was doing and will try to add to my days:
- yoga
- walk Mattie
- write in diary and blog
- practice painting
- make one piece of jewelry per day
- take photos
Things I am still doing:
- eat healthy…no dairy and no meat
- pick up the house
- keep up on laundry
- work
- keep up on bills
Ok…that does not look like much. My body is still plumping out despite my healthy eating…it is lack of exercise. It looks like I am only doing the basics…and I am. So good-bye I am heading out (even though it looks like rain) to take my dear companion for a walk ….yes, I’ll take the camera! I’ve got to start having some fun!!

A very productive weekend…
- Planted 18 tomato plants in the garden
- transplanted 2 rose bushes
- cleaned out upper kitchen cabinets
- helped finish Mom’s new deck
- talked to all my sons
- paid all the bills up to date
- worked on monkey quilt
- planted some flower seeds
- cooked some great meals
- and even helped out an accident victim * (please read below)
With all the bad storms on Friday night I woke at about 6 am. to a crashing sound. I was sure a tree had fallen in the yard somewhere…so I rushed outside to see and instead I saw an SUV turned on it’s side in our driveway! There was a guy standing next to it getting things out of the vehicle. I realized there had been an accident so I asked him if he was ok and he replied “yes”. I asked if there was anyone else in the car and he said “no”. So I asked him to come in to use the phone. Once in the house I could see he was bleeding from his leg and arm.It was still raining out…Finally he let me bandage him up and I saw his leg wound closer. It was a gaping gash. I used gauze and wrapped it tight with surgical tape…gave him a couple of aspirins for the pain and then the police and paramedics were there. The guy was only a teenager and had fallen asleep at the wheel and lost control finally flipping over in our driveway! His parents came and took him to the hospital and the wrecker came to pick up the vehicle and clean up the mess. He was very lucky not to have been hurt any more than he was.

Planted some herbs into pots today. And bought some tomato plants for the garden! The garden is full of weeds so it needs to be cleaned up and tilled. Something I can do tomorrow…as I have most of the day off.
Here are some new podcasts:
