Here are before and after photos of the dining area…notice how dark the walls are.

Now it looks much cleaner and brighter.
Also, a before and after picture of the living room.

Huge difference…it feels so nice to be in this room now…we rarely used it before. The fireplace mantle is not finished yet. We are going to frame it and make a new shelf then paint.
We have been busy…and now the kitchen cabinets are next!
I have to do some stretches…and have tea.
more later…

Mattie and I have already taken our morning walk and it is cold out there!! But the weather is supposed to warm up this week reaching into the high 60’s…Hooray!!
There is so much work to be done around here…it seems overwhelming at times. We are making baby steps though and things are looking better. The next thing we will be working on are the kitchen cabinets. Cleaning them out and scrubbing them down, sanding, priming and then painting and adding new hardware. Over the weekend we transplanted shrubs and rose bushes. And went to the Home Show in Atlanta with mom and sisters. We had lunch at Agnes and Muriel’s.
Going to go do some yoga, stretches and cleaning…
cheers…

Lots of spam comments that are pissing me off…so I will have to use the filter. (I thought it was on anyway…)
The trip there turned out to be 10 hours and should have only been 7. Due to driving through thunder and wind storms and rush hour in Nashville and then a hail storm just outside Nashville where I had to pull over for awhile…no one was driving. It was the freakiest thing.
The drive home was calm and quick…only 7 1/5 hours.
It was so wonderful to see my boys!! Wish I had more time to be with them. Driving took up 2 days and so only one day was left to visit…so I spoiled my grandson as much as possible.
But it is good to be home…

Woke to a sunny morning but COLD! However the temperature is supposed to rise to at least 60F. Sipping a second cup of tea, Grey Earl…and planning the day out. Some outdoor work is needed to be done as well as inside chores….they never end!
Rethinking some home improvements…due to lack of funds…but finding cost saving ways to spruce up the place is a creative challenge that will work out very well. Simplify, simplify, simplify!! That is the answer. One bowel, one cup and one spoon!! Just kidding…but we are going to be cleaning out lots of things that are in excess and not used. I hate clutter…and after merging our two households we have lots of doubles and excess!!

when I purchased 2 African Violets.
